This important session, part of ILMC’s IPM production focus, looks at how leading companies and professionals are rapidly developing to keep pace with the inexorable rise of the international live music industry. As global routing becomes more complex, the first part of the session looks at how regional hubs in APAC, MENA, and Latin America are no longer peripheral – they are essential. Leading production supply companies will discuss how local infrastructure, warehousing, crew bases, and cross-border logistics are reshaping global touring strategies, reducing freight costs, and enabling more sustainable, flexible production models.
The second half turns to the development of a tour from inception to execution – starting with the artist’s creative vision and moving through design, production planning, vendors, suppliers, and finally venues. With input from a production manager, set designer, and production companies, the panel will explore where breakdowns occur and how better communication between agents, promoters, and production teams can prevent them.
